Dry Ramming Mass
Dry ramming masses in acidic, neutral and alkaline materials: quartz, magnesia, spinel, corundum and mullite types with specified composition, density, particle size and maximum working temperature.
- Grades / types
- Quartz, Magnesia, Alumina Magnesia Spinel, Corundum, Mullite, Magnesia Alumina Spinel
Product overview
RISING REFRACTORY supplies dry ramming mass in three chemical types.
Acidic dry ramming mass
After sintering during the first heat, the conversion of quartz is high and the bake-out time is short. It has excellent volume stability, thermal shock resistance and high strength at high temperature.
Neutral dry ramming mass
Easy to install, hardens at room temperature, has high strength at high temperature, low thermal expansion and shrinkage, and strong resistance to melt erosion.
Alkaline dry ramming mass
Good volume stability at high temperature, erosion resistance, abrasion resistance, good thermal shock resistance and a high refractoriness under load.
Key characteristics
- Acidic (quartz), neutral (spinel, corundum, mullite) and alkaline (magnesia) types
- Short bake-out time for the acidic type
- Room-temperature hardening for the neutral type
- Good high-temperature volume stability
- Erosion and abrasion resistance
