Sintered Zirconia Corundum Brick
Sintered zirconia–corundum brick with high strength, strong resistance to molten glass and better thermal shock resistance than fused-cast AZS, in grades AZS16, AZS20 and AZS32.
- Grades / types
- AZS16, AZS20, AZS32
Product overview
Sintered zirconia corundum brick has high strength and strong resistance to molten glass erosion. Partially stabilised tetragonal ZrO₂ creates microcracks in the brick, and together with a small amount of porosity this gives thermal shock resistance superior to fused-cast AZS brick.
Key characteristics
- High strength
- Strong resistance to molten glass erosion
- Microcrack structure from partially stabilised tetragonal ZrO₂
- Thermal shock resistance superior to fused-cast AZS brick
