Magnesia Carbon Brick
Carbon-bonded magnesia brick combining the slag resistance of magnesia with the thermal conductivity and low expansion of carbon, in grades MT10A to MT18A by carbon content.
- Grades / types
- MT10A, MT12A, MT14A, MT16A, MT18A
Product overview
Magnesia carbon brick makes use of the strong slag erosion resistance of magnesia together with the high thermal conductivity and low expansion of carbon. This compensates for the poor spalling resistance of magnesia raw materials.
The brick has good high-temperature performance, strong slag resistance, good thermal shock resistance and a low high-temperature creep rate.
Key characteristics
- Strong slag erosion resistance from magnesia
- High thermal conductivity and low expansion from carbon
- Good spalling resistance
- Good thermal shock resistance
- Low high-temperature creep rate
